Assisting Dr. Kuyaya in a remote health clinic

Out of Africa. I re-visited Tenwek Hospital in Kenya, East Africa to deliver two dental units and a portable dental chair to the mission hospital. I recorded my impressions of this land in 40 simple ink and watercolor sketches. I was attending dentist at the hospital in 1993 and 1994 where I earlier began work on my book, "An African Journal."

Sketching the walled City of Dubrovnik

On a recent trip to the Adriatic I found the area of Slovenia and Croatia to be an artist's paradise . . . mountain vistas, seaside villages, and ancient ruins were subjects to start the creative juices flowing
