M.S. Volendam in Venice
I went to Venice to outfit the dental clinic in this beautiful new ship. It was my first day on the job. The "abandon ship" signal was sounded and we all raced for the single exit. Once outside, we found that the boom for the huge crane had fallen killing two dock workers. There was danger that the standing crane might fall on the ship.
